

Café/Retail Associate
A people oriented customer facing position, to support our retail and cafe shop and to provide production support during peak production.
CAFÉ/RETAIL
- Maintain beverage supplies at serving bar, assist customers with beverage and pastry/other orders
- Greet customers and provide accurate relevant information about basic products and special featured items. Ask questions, balance need for privacy with opportunity to sell our brand and products.
- Maintain clean front of house at all times, including retail register and wrap stand area, as well as immediate storage cabinets/bins. Keep all organized with what makes filling customer requests pleasant and efficient.
- Maintain pleasing fresh sample trays daily, offer to customers who are actively engaged
- Keep chocolate case filled with beautiful chocolates daily including quantity, quality and signage.Complete opening and closing checklist including daily and weekly cleaning
INVENTORY/PRODUCTION SUPPORT
- Demonstrate the ability to flex between front of house with customers and production based on other staffing, customer traffic and daily production priorities.
- Ability to support daily production and packaging priorities established by the Owner that align with customer/seasonal demand as well as financial business profitability
- Ability to work at a pace that supports production efficiencies in line the cost of goods sold targets, and demonstrate expertise in recommending and executing cost control production processes that save time and materials.
- Complete production with precision and efficiently while keeping the kitchen work are clean at all times. Washing your own dishes and help others when necessary leaving the kitchen as you found it.
- Assist other Chocolatiers in making chocolate products as requested.
- Must follow health code standards and maintain the kitchen in “inspection ready” condition.

- Part time, up to 20 hours per week

Chocolatier/Production Associate
A specialized chef who who creates candies and confections from chocolate, experienced in related food service and preparation, willing and passionate to learn the chocolate making profession
PRODUCTION:
- Operate professional tempering machines, chocolate molds and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ability to minimize chocolate loss through careful handling of chocolate and skill with use and care of molds.
- Work with Owner to establish and meet weekly production targets.
- Execute weekly production in making Truffles, Ganache, and other chocolate products. Execute weekly production of Other Chocolate Products including chocolate bars, tasting palets, and molds.
- Complete production with precision and efficiently while keeping the kitchen work are clean at all times. Washing your own dishes and help others when necessary leaving the kitchen as you found it.
- Test and recommend new products for seasonal promotional product expansion.
OPERATIONS:
- Have an eye for detail, quality and the ability to produce fine tempered chocolate treats that are precise and visually pleasing, delicious products.
- Ability to achieve production efficiencies in line the cost of goods sold targets, and demonstrate expertise in recommending and executing cost control production processes that save time and materials.
- Ability to identify and clearly communicate production priorities to Owner that align with customer/seasonal demand as well as financial business profitability
- Ability to establish ongoing quality control processes that minimize errors and waste
- Must follow health code standards and maintain the kitchen in “inspection ready” condition.
HOURS:
- Part time, up to 20 hours per week, flexible hours (day and/or night shifts)
Classes/Events/Marketing Associate
A marketing and planning professional with experience in event planning, marketing and communications
CLASSES AND EVENTS:
- Assist with administration of Classes and Events Program online and in shop, follow up on all inquiries
- Assist Owner with establishment of monthly event calendar, including Eventbrite posting and tracking
- Oversee in house calendar, Special Orders book, Special Events Book to ensure ongoing organization and accuracy and recommend necessary peak staffing and production planning timelines
- Develop signage and collateral as necessary for classes and special events
MARKETING AND PROMOTION:
- Assist with administration of seasonal and ongoing marketing programs as requested
- Manage mail list and identify opportunities to leverage and grow direct mail list
- Support creative design of seasonal displays, signage and collateral
- Ensure effective and professional description and pricing signage for all retail and in store areas
- Ensure daily in store and street signage and labeling is branded, consistent and high quality
COMMUNICATION/SOCIAL MEDIA:
- Respond to all store messages and phone inquiries, advise Owner of what needs her follow up
- Monitor website contact requests and respond in a timely manner with appropriate follow up
- Interact with the public via social media and suggest updates to the store’s online presence
- Draft recommendations to owner for email and social media postings
- Review current Facebook, Instagram and Twitter programs and recommend improvements and opportunities
- Recommend social media advertising and promotions to build customer brand awareness and loyalty
WEBSITE SUPPORT: Review and monitor website and assist owner with ongoing updates and maintenance
- Review website pages for accuracy and timeliness
- Make recommendations for necessary updates and new/revised pages
HOURS:
- Part Time, flexible hours, up to 20 hours per week as needed
